The whole space had a whimsical, adventurous feel – you can feel the love and care that has gone into creating it. Overall a perfect retreat that we would happily recommend to others.”We’ve just returned from the most serene and wonderful stay at The Book Nook – we loved every minute of it. The Book Nook is absolutely beautiful and has been put together with so much thought, care and attention to detail. Every corner feels magical, creating a cosy and welcoming space that is perfect for switching off and relaxing. We spent our time reading (of course) and enjoying an enchanting walk, soaking up the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding area, and simply appreciating how special this place is. It felt like stepping into a little slice of magic. The host was also absolutely lovely – really warm, friendly and clearly passionate about creating a wonderful experience for guests. Sarah’s care and thoughtfulness shine through in every aspect of the stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful, unique and beautifully curated getaway, I couldn’t recommend The Book Nook more highly. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed and planning when we can return.

“We had a superb time staying at this secluded cabin and would return gladly. The hosts were kind, friendly and helpful, the accommodation was original and fun, the information given was perfect and informative and the views were everything we could have wished for. One of the most pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable holidays we have ever had. We arrived and felt instantly at home and relaxed and that feeling didn’t leave for the whole long weekend. “We had an amazing 3 nights at the Book Nook – what a spot! There is so much to love here, from the cabin itself with its delightful decor, to the surrounding nature and idyllic setting in Dartmoor, and the thoughtful touches in terms of the warm welcome and hospitality.
Sarah and Nick have obviously put a lot of care and love into the cabin, and we felt really lucky to have stayed here. It really is like being transported to a calmer time while still having everything you need for a great break.
