MADE WITH LOVE

A Unique Staycation on Dartmoor

The Book Nook is a hand crafted sustainable log cabin, inspired by a love of literature. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be transported to a simpler way of life, appreciating the sound of nature, the rustle in the trees, the sound of the birds and the magic found in storytelling. With it’s own Narnian wardrobe, the Book Nook is a love letter to literature and is full of rustic charm and beauty.

Lurcombe Farm sits in the heart of the English countryside, within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Dartmoor landscape undulates with rolling hillsides of green fields. Sleeping two, this self-catering accommodation has been hand crafted with love, sustainably as possible and with oodles of character. Set in forty five acres of gorgeous English countryside and on a working farm in a corner of Dartmoor, this property is snuggled into the hillside of a secret little valley. The location is ideal for exploring both the moor and the coast and cottage and guests have complimentary use of the tennis court, orchards, grounds and woodlands. Stays include milk and fresh farm eggs.

The Book Nook is a hand crafted heritage style cabin for two, situated on a working farm on Dartmoor.

The property has a log burner and a small basket of logs are provided (you can always buy more onsite)

With your own private parking, the property is a short walk down a lane.

You’ll have access to your own private deck, garden and be able to explore the farm.

WIFI is included, along with fresh farm eggs, milk and a small kitchen caddy (tea, coffee, sugar, oil)

The kitchen is small but perfectly formed. There’s a small electric oven, microwave, plug in hobs, kettle and fridge freezer.

Towels and bed linen are included.

The bedroom is accessed by a ladder and is therefore not suitable for those with access difficulties.

We suggest only bringing essentials – the charm of the cabin means that storage is limited, but there are additional storage boxes underneath an outside seating area, known as ‘The Nook’.
