From a Fallen Elm to the Financial Times House & Home!

There are some moments in the story of The Book Nook that feel rather special and this is one of those moments! We were asked to write a piece for the FT House & Home about the build of our very special cabin and we’re thrilled to share it with you.

From a forgotten corner of our farm, an old trailer, a storm-felled elm and a slightly mad idea… to finding ourselves amongst the pages of the FT.

It’s a lovely feeling seeing The Book Nook there — but even lovelier knowing that the story of this little place, and the land around it, is being shared beyond our valley. Built from what we had, shaped by the seasons, and made with a great deal of love and second-hand things.
